From the time that we become old enough to be reasoning creatures, we are taught to seek the answers to our questions externally. You must listen and obey your parents. Why? Because we said so. You must pay attention to the teacher in school even if you don’t like the topic. You must do what your boss tells you to in order to make a living. You must dress the way society tells you to in order fit in. You must attach yourself to the beliefs of the masses in order to be a decent and respected human being. Why? Because that is the way it is. That’s why.
Yes. We must listen and pay attention to those that know more about life than us. But, by never being taught how to seek answers for ourselves, how to learn to think critically on our own, and how to differentiate truth from deception, we are left at the mercy of the world that surrounds us. Leaves in the wind that get taken where it chooses to blow.
We are now finally understanding the value of learning how to look within, how to seek for the answers that are already pre-programmed within us. We must find the confidence and the strength to check under the hood and see what its going on in there. We must learn how to become introspective enough to learn how to evolve as humans and not to simply sweep things under the rug (which is what most people do). This is where mushrooms come in and become extremely valuable.
On April 15th, let’s take a look under the hood together, through poetry, through the almost magical introspection that we get through art and the psychedelic wisdom that these things can offer us. Careful though, you may learn things about yourself you’ve been trying to avoid.
