Before you, with due reason, judge me, let me explain:
Some of my most interesting ideas seem to happen at night, when my brain is not bogged down with the stresses of the day and the neurons have some time to contemplate without interruption. I will usually be in bed, almost asleep, when a lightbulb goes in my head and I think: “great idea, there is no way I will forget this one, too good. I will write down in the morning.”
Morning time comes and I go searching the depths of my mind for that one thought that jolted me out of sleep. It is now nowhere to be found. The neurons are back at work with the necessities of the day and that silly thought from a few hours before is no longer valuable. Shit has to get done. And so, I am left frustrated by the mechanics of my own mind.
I now have been getting into the habit of writing down those thoughts on my phone as soon as they happen. Sometimes I wake up without even having recollection of writing something down, and there it will be, a gem (or not) of an idea for creating something new, something interesting. This is exactly what happened with this, this…. note. What could I have been thinking that possibly made me write this very unusual combination of words? It is a mystery that I believe we will never get to solve.
